HEATHER DAGNALL
I am a fashion student at Nottingham Trent University and an aspiring fashion designer. I love making and being creative with skills in manufacture, pattern cutting and CAD as well as working on styling projects. I am inspired by the likes of Iris Van Herpen and Alexander McQueen who both create some unique and extraordinary pieces.

SECOND YEAR
This is a selection of work I created in my second year of university. I worked on multiple group projects and projects briefed by industry such as AllSaints, Billy Tannery and Very.
FIRST YEAR
This is a selection of work created in my first year at NTU. I have developed a vast range of skills in pattern cutting and manufacture as well as CAD and adobe programs
BEFORE NTU
Before university, I studied fashion design at Warwickshire college, Leamington. Here is where I first discovered my love for making and being hands on. I gained skills in textiles, pattern cutting, manufacture as well as other drawing and mark making techniques.

Work Experience
RETAIL SALES ASSISTANT
April 2018 to Present
For the last 3 years I have worked as a sales assistant at ECCO shoes. This premium brand specialises in shoes and leather goods and strives to become more eco friendly and ethical. My role is to advise customers on products to meet their particular needs. I have developed a vast range of product knowledge, such as how leather is made, and provide excellent customer service which can be notice in hitting and exceeding my targets. I have also gained skills in visual merchandising.
HEAD STYLIST AND ASSISTANT PROJECT MANAGER
October 2019 to January 2020
Here I did a work placement with Warwick Races. The brief was to put on a fashion show in celebration of the 'Classic Race Day'. We set up a catwalk to display typical race outfits from the 1920's to 1990's. We worked with two local business which stocked vintage designer clothing. My role was to put the women's outfits together and help with setting up the event. The event was a success and was aired on ITV and was in the local newspaper.
ADMIN AND DESIGN ASSISTANT
January 2018
I completed some work placement with IPS working with the architecture design and admin team. IPS is a part of the architecture, engineering and construction industry and specialises in pharmaceuticals. I gained some valuable skills in CAD and gained a better understanding in a different side of the design industry.
